Art Gives Voice to the Unspeakable
Even when someone can talk about their trauma, words may not fully capture the depth of their experience. Art provides another language through images, journaling, sewing, movement, color, sound, or storytelling that can express complex emotions more freely and completely.
Haircuts and braids in the Coping Lounge are more than just a service; they are a tool of resilience, restoration, and relationship-building. In every twist, part, and clip, families are reminded: You are worthy of care. You are loved. You are safe.
